Privacy Policy

Effective: August 9, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how Player Partners (“we,” “us,” or “our”) collects, uses, shares, and protects information when you use our websites, mobile applications, and related services (collectively, the “Services”).

This policy applies to the Services described here. It should be read together with our Terms of Service, Full Terms of Service, and Cookie Use.

1. Who We Are

Player Partners is operated by the entity that provides the Player Partners Services (“we” or “us”).

For privacy-related questions, contact us through the support or privacy-related features available in the Player Partners app or website. We do not provide a postal address or dedicated privacy email in this version of this policy.

2. Information We Collect

We collect information in the categories below. The specific data within each category depends on how you use the Services and the choices you make in your settings.

2.1 Account and profile information

Information you provide when you register or maintain an account, such as username, display name, email address, password credentials (stored in protected form), profile bio, avatar, cover image, language preferences, and linked social or gaming identities you choose to connect.

2.2 Content and communications

Content you post or share (for example, posts, replies, reactions, media, records, and messages), including activity in GameHub, TeamHub, and ChatRoom spaces, and related metadata (such as timestamps and interaction counts).

2.3 Usage and device information

Information about how you use the Services, such as pages or screens viewed, features used, clicks, search queries, feed interactions, referral sources, crash reports, performance data, IP address, browser or app type, operating system, device identifiers, and general location derived from IP or device settings (for example, country or region).

To keep the apps reliable and to debug issues, we may automatically collect crash reports, diagnostic data, and related performance information through an error-monitoring provider (currently Sentry). If you are signed in, events may include an internal user identifier only (not your email or display name). We filter obvious sensitive fields (such as passwords, chat message bodies, and full search strings), and we do not use Session Replay to record your screen. We use this data for app functionality and improvement, not for cross-company advertising tracking.

2.4 Preferences and personalization signals

Information that helps us personalize your experience, such as interests you select, accounts or communities you follow, content preferences, notification settings, and signals inferred from your activity (for example, topics you engage with).

2.5 Safety, integrity, and support information

Information we process to keep the Services safe and reliable, such as reports you submit, moderation actions, authentication and security logs, and communications with our support teams through in-app channels.

2.6 Payment information (if applicable)

If we offer paid features in the future, we or our payment processors may collect billing-related information necessary to complete transactions. We will provide additional notice when paid features become available.

3. Where Information Comes From

We collect information from:

  • You directly — when you register, create content, update your profile, join communities, or contact support.
  • Your use of the Services — automatically when you interact with features, feeds, search, messaging, and recommendations.
  • Third parties you connect — such as sign-in providers or linked gaming or social accounts, according to your permissions and their policies.
  • Partners and service providers — who help us operate, secure, and improve the Services (for example, hosting, analytics, translation, or content delivery), subject to contractual protections.

4. How We Use Information

We use information for purposes including:

Purpose Examples
Provide the Services Account creation, authentication, posting, messaging, community features, and core platform functionality
Personalize experience Feeds, recommendations, language and translation features, and relevant content suggestions
Safety and integrity Detecting abuse, spam, fraud, security incidents, and enforcing our Terms of Service and rules
Communicate with you Service announcements, security alerts, and responses to support requests
Improve and develop Analytics, debugging, research, and testing new features
Legal compliance Responding to lawful requests and protecting our rights and users

We do not use your personal information for purposes that are incompatible with these purposes without notice where required by law.

5. Legal Bases (EEA, UK, and Similar Regions)

If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or another region that requires a legal basis for processing, we rely on one or more of the following, depending on the activity:

  • Contract — processing necessary to provide the Services you request.
  • Legitimate interests — such as securing the platform, improving features, and personalizing content, balanced against your rights.
  • Consent — where required (for example, certain optional features or marketing, if offered).
  • Legal obligation — where we must comply with applicable law.

You may have the right to object to or restrict certain processing as described in Section 9.

6. How We Share Information

We may share information in the following circumstances:

  • With other users — according to your privacy settings and the nature of the Services (for example, public posts, profile information, or community participation).
  • With service providers — who process data on our behalf under contracts that require appropriate safeguards (such as hosting, customer support tools, security, analytics, machine-assisted translation, and error/crash monitoring via Sentry).
  • For legal and safety reasons — when we believe disclosure is required by law, to protect users or the public, or to enforce our terms and policies.
  • Business transfers — in connection with a merger, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to continued protection consistent with this policy.
  • With your direction — when you choose to link accounts, share content externally, or use integrations you authorize.

We do not sell your personal information in the sense of exchanging it for money for third-party advertising lists. If that practice changes, we will update this policy and provide choices where required by law.

7. How Long We Keep Information

We retain information for as long as needed to provide the Services, comply with legal obligations, resolve disputes, enforce agreements, and maintain safety.

Retention periods vary by data category and context. For example:

  • Account information is kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterward.
  • Content you publish may remain visible to others until you delete it or we remove it under our policies.
  • Security and operational logs may be kept for a limited period for fraud prevention and diagnostics.

When data is no longer needed, we delete, anonymize, or aggregate it in accordance with our internal practices and applicable law.

8. Your Rights and Choices

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to:

  • access and receive a copy of certain personal information;
  • correct inaccurate information;
  • delete certain information;
  • restrict or object to certain processing;
  • withdraw consent where processing is consent-based;
  • port certain information to another service; and
  • lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.

You can exercise many choices in the app or website settings (for example, profile visibility, notification preferences, and linked accounts). To delete your Player Partners account, follow the steps in Deleting your Player Partners account. For other requests, contact us through the in-app support or privacy-related channels.

We may need to verify your identity before responding. We will respond within timeframes required by applicable law.

8a. Deleting your Player Partners account

This section explains how to delete your Player Partners account and associated data. It is the public account-deletion path for the Player Partners apps, including iOS and Android.

How to request deletion in the app

You must be signed in. Then:

  1. Open Settings.
  2. Open Account Settings.
  3. Choose Delete Account.
  4. Confirm by entering your password when prompted.

Account deletion is permanent and cannot be undone. After you confirm, we process the request to delete your account and associated personal data from our active systems.

What we delete and what may remain

When you delete your account, we delete or de-identify account profile data and associated content we hold for you, including posts, messages, media, and settings, as described in this policy.

Some information may remain for a limited period where we have a legitimate need or legal obligation, including:

  • Security, fraud-prevention, and operational logs
  • Crash and diagnostic records held by our error-monitoring provider (Sentry), which may include an internal user identifier and are retained according to that provider’s retention settings
  • Content that other people copied, quoted, or reshared, which may remain in their accounts
  • Information we must keep to comply with law, resolve disputes, or enforce our terms

We do not currently offer a separate public web form to delete only some of your data without deleting your account. You can delete or edit much of your content while signed in. For other requests, use in-app support.

Contact

If you cannot access the in-app deletion flow (for example, you cannot sign in), contact us through in-app support where available, or email support@player.partners. We may need to verify that you control the account before we act.

See also How Long We Keep Information and Your Rights and Choices.

9. International Data Transfers

We may process and store information in countries other than where you live. Those countries may have different data protection laws.

Where required, we use appropriate safeguards for cross-border transfers, such as standard contractual clauses or equivalent mechanisms approved under applicable law.

10. Children’s Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children below that age.

We collect your date of birth and country or region of residence at registration to apply the minimum age and youth protection rules described in our Terms of Service and this section.

If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us through the in-app support or report features and we will take appropriate steps to delete the information where required.

If you are a parent or guardian and your teen uses the Services where permitted by local law, please review this policy and help them configure privacy settings appropriately.

10b. Teen and minor accounts

If you are between 13 and 17 years old (or the minimum and adult ages applicable in your jurisdiction) and permitted to use the Services, we may classify your Account as a teen account and apply stricter default privacy settings, such as:

  • a non-public profile by default;
  • more limited default visibility for posts and certain activity;
  • restricted direct messaging from strangers by default; and
  • reduced sharing of online status or last seen information.

Ages 13–15 may receive stricter defaults than ages 16–17. You can review and, where permitted, change some settings in Settings → Privacy. Some options may remain locked until you reach 16, or until you turn 18, as described in the app.

Under 16. If you are under 16, you may not be able to change certain privacy settings yourself (for example, making your profile publicly searchable or allowing messages from non-partners). The Services do not currently provide an in-app process for a parent or guardian to approve those changes online.

Turning 18. When you reach 18, we will treat your Account as a standard adult account and remove teen-specific restrictions. We will not automatically change privacy choices you already made to the widest settings.

Parents and guardians. If your teen uses the Services where permitted by law, please review this policy and our Terms, and help them configure privacy settings. Contact us through in-app support if you have concerns.

11. Cookies and Similar Technologies

We and our partners use cookies, local storage, pixels, and similar technologies to operate the Services, remember preferences, keep you signed in, measure performance, and support security.

Some embedded third-party content (for example, media players or social previews) may set or read similar technologies when you interact with that content within the Services.

For more detail on categories, choices, and Web versus app behavior, see our Cookie Use page.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. For material changes, we will notify you through the Services or other appropriate means and update the effective date shown at the top of this page, as required by applicable law.

Your continued use of the Services after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated policy, unless applicable law requires a different process (such as renewed consent).

13. Contact Us

For privacy questions or requests, contact us through the support or privacy-related features in the Player Partners app or website.

We do not provide a postal address or dedicated privacy email in this version of this policy.
