These ChatRoom Rules apply when you participate in ChatRoom spaces within Player Partners (“we,” “us,” or “our”), including real-time chat in ChatZone and related messaging features (collectively, the “Services”).
They are Supplemental Rules incorporated into our Terms of Service and Full Terms of Service. Please also read our Privacy Policy and TeamHub Rules where relevant.
1. Scope
These rules apply to:
- Messages, reactions, media, links, and other content you send or display in a ChatRoom
- Conduct while joining, staying in, hosting, or moderating a ChatRoom
- Use of room settings and access controls (for example, public, private, or password-protected rooms) in a way that affects other participants
They apply whether you access ChatRooms on web, mobile, or other supported platforms.
ChatRoom hosts, co-hosts, and designated moderators may set additional expectations for a room (for example, topic or language), provided those expectations do not conflict with these Rules, our Terms, or applicable law.
2. Relationship to the Terms
These ChatRoom Rules are part of our Terms. Capitalized terms not defined here have the meanings given in the Full Terms.
- If these Rules conflict with the general Terms of Service summary on a ChatRoom-specific point, these Rules govern for that point.
- If these Rules conflict with the Full Terms of Service, the Full Terms govern, except where these Rules expressly provide a more specific rule for ChatRooms.
- We may update tools, room types, and safety features over time. These Rules describe principles that apply across those changes.
3. Community Standards
ChatRooms work best when participants treat each other with respect. You agree to:
- Communicate in good faith — disagree without harassment, threats, or dehumanizing language
- Respect the room’s purpose — follow reasonable topic, language, or conduct expectations set by the host where consistent with these Rules
- Protect safety and privacy — do not pressure others to share personal information they do not wish to share
- Use access controls responsibly — do not share private room links, passwords, or invitations to enable abuse or evasion of enforcement
- Report problems — use in-app report or support tools when you see conduct that may violate these Rules or put someone at risk
Automated or machine-assisted features (such as translation or moderation assistance) may be used in ChatRooms. They can be imperfect; you remain responsible for what you post.
4. Prohibited Content and Conduct
The following categories are prohibited in ChatRooms. This list is illustrative; the Full Terms acceptable use section also applies.
4.1 Harassment, hate, and threats
- Targeting individuals or groups with abuse, slurs, intimidation, or credible threats
- Sexual harassment or unwanted sexual content directed at a person
- Encouraging others to harass or brigade a person or community
4.2 Illegal, dangerous, or exploitative content
- Content that is illegal in the relevant jurisdiction or that promotes illegal activity
- Content that exploits, endangers, or sexualizes minors in any way, including Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation (CSAE) and Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM). Player Partners prohibits CSAE. See Child Safety Standards.
- Content that promotes self-harm, suicide, terrorism, or serious violence
4.3 Impersonation and deception
- Pretending to be another person, a public figure, our staff, or a partner without authorization
- Misleading others about your identity, affiliation, or room sponsorship
4.4 Spam, disruption, and manipulation
- Repetitive, bulk, or automated messages that disrupt conversation or the Services
- Phishing, malware links, scams, or deceptive schemes
- Artificially inflating participation or evading rate limits, mutes, or bans
4.5 Privacy violations
- Sharing another person’s private information (such as legal name, home address, phone number, or private messages) without their consent
- Recording, distributing, or threatening to distribute private room content in a way that violates reasonable expectations of privacy or applicable law
4.6 Intellectual property and unauthorized commercial activity
- Infringing copyrights, trademarks, or other rights
- Unsolicited advertising or commercial solicitation outside features we expressly provide
4.7 Circumvention of safety measures
- Bypassing blocks, bans, access controls, or moderation actions
- Using alternate accounts or third parties to continue prohibited conduct
5. Enforcement
We and our service providers may investigate reports and take action we consider appropriate, including:
- Removing or limiting visibility of messages or media
- Muting, removing, or restricting participants in a room
- Suspending or terminating room access, hosting privileges, or account features
- Restricting account access or terminating accounts under the Full Terms
- Preserving information and reporting to law enforcement or other authorities where required or permitted by law
Hosts and moderators may take reasonable room-level actions consistent with these Rules. We may reverse or supplement those actions where necessary for safety, legal compliance, or enforcement of the Terms.
Enforcement may be automated, human-reviewed, or both. We are not obligated to monitor every message in real time.
6. Appeals and Reporting
If you believe content was removed or your access was restricted in error, contact us through the report or support features in the Player Partners app or website.
When reporting, include relevant context (for example, room name, approximate time, and participants involved). We may not be able to resolve every dispute and may decline to restore content or access where policy violations are clear or repeat offenses occur.
Nothing in this section limits our ability to act on urgent safety or legal matters.
7. Changes to These Rules
We may update these ChatRoom Rules from time to time. Material changes will be communicated through the Services or other appropriate means, and we will update the effective date at the top of this page.
Your continued participation in ChatRooms after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Rules, unless applicable law requires a different process.
